InDesign Three: self-directed

Duration

One term

3 hours a week. See here for current details.*

CoBC certificate on successful completion.

*Course availability will be shown later in the year.

Aimed at people who already have a level of knowledge and experience about InDesign in a professional environment, this course aims to sharpen their skills.

Students are expected to bring their own projects to develop in class along with the materials that are provided. Learning is by worked example and tutorials on the students own; students are encouraged to continue to work on their learning outside of college hours. Email support is offered for the duration of the course.

The course mainly focuses on InDesign and a PDF based work flow, but includes references to Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat where required.

We also look at digital publishing and Interactive features within InDesign.

The course assumes some experience in using InDesign and potential students will be interviewed to determine their suitability for the course.

About Steve

I've been drawing
pictures, designing
publications and
showing other
people how to do
the same as long
as I can remember.

I've been both a freelancer and employed in these capacities over the last 30 years, in which time I have gained a lot of experience in print, digital publishing and media.

I graduated with a LCAD in Surface Design from Chelsea School of Art London in 1976.

I am currently self-employed as a freelance designer and am a lecturer at City of Bath College and Bath Spa University.
